Children are the most vulnerable and innocent victims of crime. Crime against children rose by 20% than overall number of crimes which rose by 3.6%.
Among crime against children, physical and mental abuse, neglect, exploitation, kidnapping, child-labour, rape, sexual assault and procuring minor girls have continued to increase as released by National Crime Records Bureau. Child-related crimes are often perpetrated by parents, relatives, caretakers and others who are charged with their care and guidance. In such cases it’s urgently required to report any sign of abuse or exploitation against a child.
We have started a campaign in which we conduct awareness sessions and seminars in schools and other educational institutions. During our sessions we guide children how to identify such crimes and then what they should do to curb it. Through such seminars we make them vigilant about such crimes and encourage them to speak up.
